Take a journey to Titanic with me!

In 1912 Titanic was the biggest ship in the world and was thought to be unsinkable. But in the early hours of the 15th April 1912 the unimaginable happened and the magnificent liner sank to the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean after colliding with an iceberg. She took over 1,500 souls with her...

....93 years later, in July 2005, I was lucky enough to win a competition run by The History Channel to dive to the wrecksite for a TV documentary, Titanic: A Tale of Two Journeys.

What I saw two and a half miles down on the ocean floor will stay with me for the rest of my life, and now I want to share that experience with you!

  • Hear about the building of the Titanic and her tragic maiden voyage.

  • Watch as the Mir submersibles are launched and retrieved in the unpredictable Atlantic Ocean by the Russian research vessel, the Keldysh.

  • See for yourself my own footage of the still magnificent Titanic over two miles under the sea

  • Feel the extreme emotions of excitement, wonder and sorrow.

As the Titanic story is popular with young and old alike, I can cater my talk to appeal to both audiences. As this is a rare experience that only a handful of people (fewer than 200) in the world have done you can be assured the talk will be fairly unique! My presentation usually lasts for one to one and a half hours but can be tailored to meet your requirements.

If you would like information about my presentation or would like to book you can contact me by phone or email.

This clip shows the launch of the submersible Mir 2. There are only 5 submersibles in the world that are capable of diving to the wreck of the Titanic two and a half miles down.

This clip shows the wreck of the Titanic laying 2 and a half miles down at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean. Because she lies at such an extreme depth, only a handful of people in the world have had the opportunity to dive to her.

This clip shows the recovery of the submersible Mir 2. Retrieving the submersible from the Atlantic is a very hazardous undertaking. (especially in the dark!) It's easy for something to go wrong.
